Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the most efficient system ever developed for controlling a larger, stronger opponent on the ground. Every Hitman Academy BJJ session is built around positional hierarchy — you always know where you are, what your goal is, and how to measure progress.

Submission-only rounds remove points and advantages from the equation — the only way to win is to finish. This format sharpens finishing instinct, discourages stalling, and produces a more aggressive, technical game than sport BJJ alone.
Live rounds with coach feedback after each roll. Every session converts into measurable technical growth rather than just surviving rounds with no direction on what to fix.
Every class follows a deliberate sequence — from movement warm-up through drilling to live rounds — so your body and mind arrive at the right intensity at the right time.
Shrimping, hip escapes, breakfalls, technical stand-ups, and flow rolling at low intensity to prime joints and engrain the movement patterns used in every position.
Coach breaks down one focused position or submission — guard pass, sweep, choke, or escape — with detailed explanation, demonstration, and partner drilling at controlled pace.
Start from today's position — guard, mount, or back — and apply the technique in a live context. Resets keep intensity high and reps frequent. Coach monitors and corrects in real time.
Full live rounds against a rotation of partners at varied levels. No fixed positions — apply everything you know and discover what holds up under resistance.
A structured close with coach feedback on common errors from the rolling session and one clear focus point to carry into the next class.
None at all. Beginners are matched with partners at the same level and coached through foundational positions before any live rolling begins. The learning curve is steep but the environment is safe and supportive.
Most beginners start with gi because the slower pace and grip-based control make positions easier to hold and understand. Once your base is solid, no-gi adds speed and teaches you not to rely on fabric for control. We run both at Hitman Academy.
BJJ was purpose-built for self-defence against larger opponents. The ground control positions and choke finishes work regardless of size difference, making it one of the most practical martial arts for real-world situations.
Absolutely. The majority of our BJJ members train purely for fitness, mental challenge, and the social environment on the mats. Competition is optional and never pressured.
